Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are created from Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a natural component of healthy human tissue. An important structural building block in the skin, HA can stimulate the body’s production of collagen, which helps create healthy dermal and epidermal tissue. Additionally, Hyaluronic Acid draws water from the body to the treated area, providing volume to the skin which helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. There are many types of fillers, each addressing a different issue or area of the face. Kay McCunis’ has over 15 years injecting and training others with dermal fillers , her and her certified injectors can create beautiful, natural looking results.

Hyaluronic Acid filler

What is injectable hyaluronic acid? Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is a type of temporary dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body, with the highest concentrations in the joints, eyes, and skin. In the skin hyaluronic acid attracts water, which allows the skin to become more hydrated.

Calcium Hydroxy Filler

Calcium hydroxyapatite is a mineral-like substance found in our bones. Calcium hydroxyapatite combines high elasticity and viscosity with an ability to induce long-term collagen formation making it an ideal agent for a global facial approach.

Collagen based filler

Tiny, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres are suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel. Once injected, the collagen gel immediately reduces the look of smile lines. Over time, your body uses the microspheres to create a “scaffold” onto which your own natural collagen can develop.
